About me
Hi, my name is Dave and welcome to my website.
I have lived in Ross-on-Wye for over 15 years with my wife Janine, and my two sons Daniel and Steve, and am now the proud grandfather of two beautiful girls.
I became a Driving Instructor after nearly 30 years in the motor trade - the last 20 of those running motor dealerships - so cars and driving have been in my blood all my life. This career also provided extensive experience in training and coaching as well as getting me committed to Road Safety – not the least of which was my involvement in the ‘Belt up in the Back’ campaign to introduce rear seat belts in all cars. My love of driving generally has taken me on many adventures, including such contrasting experiences as completing the Audi Quattro High Performance Driving Course, and successfully driving through the chaos of Mexico City!
Having become tired of the pressure and hours that went with the motor trade, I wanted something with real satisfaction – and helping people young and old develop a life skill, and giving them the best possible start on the road to safe driving, was the main reason for my change of career.
Friends and family all told me I had the calm and relaxed personality to be successful as a Driving Instructor, so having chosen that route I was fortunate to be trained by LDC, and therefore have access to the unique LD System which allows each individual to learn to drive safely at a rate that suits them.
I hope you will see the benefits of learning with the LD System, and I will be pleased to provide a free, no obligation, home visit to explain to you and any other family members how the LD System works and what each course provides.
I take my job seriously, but also like to have fun doing it, so if you choose me as your instructor I promise you the highest quality training in a calm and friendly environment which will give you the best possible chance of passing your test first time.
Well I hope this gives you a brief Idea about me so please feel free to click here to "Contact me"
